Anna Ansari is no ordinary chef, and this is no ordinary bio. An Iranian American with a background in international trade and customs law, Anna has found her calling in exploring how food, flavours, and dishes have the power to cross borders. Whether carried in memories or tucked away in pockets, food travels with its people and refuses to be left behind.
Believing deeply in the connection between food and cultural identity, Anna now serves as the London City and Community Lead for the #CookforIran campaign, which raises awareness of human rights issues in Iran through the sharing of Iranian food and culture.
Anna is happiest when cooking, especially Iranian dishes made with the finest ingredients. Swaledale is proud to support her fundraising work and recently supplied mutton for a #CookforIran event.
